Chest

Chest press narrow grip (converging)

Chest press narrow grip (converging)

Converging close-grip chest press for the inner chest.

Setup

  • Adjust seat height so handles are at mid-chest level.

  • Back flat against the pad, shoulder blades squeezed together and down.

  • Grip handles narrowly, keeping elbows close to the body.

  • Chest up, core tight, feet stable.

  • Keep wrists straight and build tension.

Execution

  • Press the handles forward and together in the center. A close grip with convergence emphasizes the inner chest.

  • Hold briefly at the front, maximizing chest contraction.

  • Slowly return until you feel a good stretch.

  • Keep shoulder blades set, do not let shoulders collapse.

  • Breathing: Exhale when pressing, inhale when returning.
